Every Sunday afternoon, we share our word counts for the past week, and reflect on how our writing went.
This will help you easily make consistent progress on your novel. It only takes a few minutes to complete.
If you’re planning or editing your novel, you can still take part! (We’ve got instructions for this inside the Guild.)
Every week, you can send me one writing-related question to help you get unstuck with your story.
Each Wednesday, I release a private audio podcast where I answer these questions. You’ll hear my answers to the other questions as well. This helps to compound your growth as an author.
You’ll get all past Q&A episodes when you sign up.
Writing alongside a community makes the whole process more fun. Get access to a platform where you can chat with other fantasy writers, get feedback on your writing, and troubleshoot your story.
In this video, I’ll show you how we’ve designed this community to help you write better fantasy novels.
What do J. R. R. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings) and C. S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia) have in common?
In the early 20th century, they were both part of a writing group called ‘The Inklings,’ who met weekly at an Oxford pub.
(If you’re curious, the pub is called The Eagle and Child. And, yes: I nerded out big-time when I visited.)
The Lord of the Rings was one of the first books discussed in the group.
Tolkien said the Inklings helped him:
When you surround yourself with other fantasy writers who ‘get it’ – who live and breathe the creative struggle alongside you – everything changes.
Before starting the Guild, I had personally coached over 90 fantasy writers to help them improve their novels.
When I started my programs, I thought the information would be the most useful part.
After all, it has taken me 12+ years (and four published books) to learn the storytelling principles that I share with my clients.
Yet while these principles led to massive improvements for my clients:
The biggest results came from the accountability and community I created.
For example, when Josiah Cadmes started working with me, he had great ideas and a ton of passion for his fantasy novel.
But he hadn’t made much progress.
In two years, he’d only written 9,000 words.
Then we started working together.
And six months later, he sent me this message:
That right there is the power of accountability.
Of making a commitment to bringing your writing dreams to life.
And that’s exactly what the Fantasy Writer’s Guild provides.

When you join the Guild, you’ll also get access to my First Chapter Mastery program (usually $97).
This will show you how to write a first chapter that instantly hooks fantasy readers. You’ll learn how to:

Working alone, we often lack the discipline to push ourselves. Without a strong community, you’re writing on hard mode.
That’s why you’ll get access to a platform where you can chat with other writers, get feedback on your ideas, and troubleshoot your story.
I also share exclusive resources with this community that you won’t find anywhere else.
The Guild is designed to be a high-quality, small community.
This isn’t a place where there will be thousands of random people who have no interest in you or your work. That’s no fun at all.
When you sign up, you’re joining a small group of dedicated, friendly fantasy writers who are passionate about their craft and eager to help you.
The Guild is designed to be accessible as well.
Unlike my 1-on-1 programs, where some writers have paid me up to $7000 to edit their novels, you can join the Guild for less than $1.51 a day.
Now, to make sure that you’re the right fit, you must complete a short application to join.
To protect the community’s culture, we only allow a few new members to join each month. In the future, I will likely bring in a member cap to limit the total number of Guild members as well.
I personally look through every application and respond within 3 business days. If I can’t let you in right now, you may be able to join a few weeks down the line.
Again, this process ensures that you’re the right fit for the community.
Plus, it will let me learn more about you, so that I can point you to the most useful places and resources inside the Guild.
My goal is to make a community so useful that it feels like your story’s word count is growing without your permission. And not only that — but to help you find joy and a sense of camaraderie in the writing process.
So if you’re ready to try the Guild out, scroll down and apply today. I’ll see you inside!

Now, my 1-on-1 Story Coaching program and my Fantasy Outlining Bootcamp cost $1000s to join. I’ve even had some writers pay $6000-$7000 for my high-tier programs.
I absolutely love working with these clients. I’ve even met up with my students in three countries! (Spain, England, and the USA).
However, these programs are highly selective because of their intensive nature. Despite the hundreds of applications I’ve received, I’ve had to turn a lot of writers away.
That makes me feel bad, because I’ve seen the power that regular accountability provides.
This is why I made The Fantasy Writer’s Guild: to form a community where I can help many more writers get the accountability and support needed to finish their novels.
You spend countless hours secluded with your computer, pouring your soul onto the page as you try to craft compelling characters, immersive worlds, and gripping plots.
When your story is flowing, it’s the best feeling in the world.
But it’s easy to feel isolated.
Your friends and family might never truly understand the unique challenges of breathing life into your fantasy story…or the constant battle against procrastination, imposter syndrome, and writer’s block.

The Fantasy Writer’s Guild is currently in Early Access.
This is a new experiment for me! We will be starting with a very small group to ensure I make this community as useful as possible for you.
This means that if you join now, you’ll get a lot of my personal attention.
As an Early Access member, you’ll have a major influence on shaping the direction of the Guild.
I have not announced the Guild to the general public. At this stage, I’m starting by issuing invites to several past clients and a couple of other writers who I think might be good fits.
I’m being very selective with this. I want this community to be incredible. So if you’re on this page, you probably received the link directly from me.
If you’ve worked with me before, or seen the reviews from my clients, you know how seriously I stand behind my products and services.
